The purpose of the SAMMY Awards is to recognize the outstanding efforts being made in the area of social media and advertising. The SAMMY Awards' mission is to honor the groundbreaking work in multiple social media marketing categories.

The SAMMY Awards present honors in every category at the SAMMY Awards Gala on September 14, 2010 in New York City. The SAMMY Awards' judging committee selects the nominees for the awards in each category, as well as the Best in Show.
